1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups chopped apples (chopped small)
CREAM CHEESE LAYER:
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons white sugar
STREUSEL:
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cold butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 inch square pan. Combine the butter and sugars for the cake and mix until fluffy. Add the egg, oil, and vanilla and mix until combined. Stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon and stir into the butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Stir in the chopped apples. Spread into the prepared pan. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla for the cream cheese layer and spread over the cake batter in the pan. Combine all the streusel ingredients using your hands or a pastry blender until well combined. Sprinkle over the cream cheese mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes or until the topping is browned. Can be stored in the refrigerator.

8 ounces cream cheese, (at room temperature)
½ cup (1 stick) butter, (at room temperature)
1 cup granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract
1¾ cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk
½ cup granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons all purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13x9-inch pan with nonstick spray.
  • Place the apple slices in a bowl and drizzle the lemon juice on top. Toss to coat. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese and butter; add in the sugar, and use a hand mixer to beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the extract.
  • Sift the dry ingredients into a separate bowl (flour, baking powder, soda & salt)
  • Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture a little at a time, alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture; mix well after each addition.
  • Pour the batter into prepared baking pan.
  • Combine the topping ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle the topping over the apple slices and toss lightly to coat well. Arrange the apple slices evenly on top of the batter in the pan.
  • Bake 50 to 60 minutes, or until the cake tested done when a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

¼ cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup white sugar
½ cup butter, softened
3 eggs
3 cups chopped apples
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sour cream
¾ cup chopped walnuts
2 ½ tablespoons white sugar

This cake tastes wonderful-the apple filling keeps it moist, and the crispy crunch of its nut mixture makes it seem forever fresh. Apple Cream Coffee Cake is always on my menu for brunch, and good for snacking at any time of day!

1/2 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 medium apple, peeled and thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition. In a small bowl, combine the nuts, cinnamon and remaining sugar., Spread half of the batter in a well-greased 10-in. tube pan with a removable bottom. Top with apple slices; sprinkle with half of the nut mixture. 2 cups original Bisquick baking mix
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1/4 cup firm butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F Lightly grease cookie sheet.
  • In medium bowl, beat 8 ounces cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, the lemon peel and lemon juice with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth; reserve.
  • Place Bisquick mix in a large bowl. Cut in 3 ounces cream cheese and the butter using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions) until crumbly.
