APPLE MEATLOAF WITH CIDER KETCHUP
This updated version of Mom's meatloaf-with sweet shredded apples and tangy ketchup-is like fall in a dish.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Combine coating mix and seasonings in medium bowl; stir in cheese.
- Reserve 2 Tbsp. cheese mixture. Mix remaining cheese mixture with milk in large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except apple cider and ketchup; mix just until blended.
- Shape meat mixture into loaf in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 1 hour. Top with reserved cheese mixture; bake 2 min. or until cheese is melted.
- Mix apple cider and ketchup; serve with meatloaf.

Steps:
- In a small skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. In a large bowl, combine the apple, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper and allspice. Stir in onion. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into a 6x5-in. loaf., Place in an 8-in. square baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until no pink remains and a thermometer reads 160°.

Steps:
- Meatloaf: Combine meat loaf ingredients and place into a loaf baking dish.
- Smooth out top.
- Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients and pour on top and sides of meatloaf.
- Bake at 350°F about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done.
- ENJOY!
- *The addition of 1 or 2 teaspoons of Kitchen Bouquet® makes this recipe very good.
- **Recipe should be"plump" from the addition of the milk or Half & Half.
- It should NOT be runny.
- ***A second batch of sauce served hot is good to serve with the meatloaf.
- Nita's Note: I note that some of you are using game meat such as deer -- Deer is a very DRY meat. It is wise to HAVE some fat added to the deer -- especially to ground deer. Maybe 25 % fat, ( I recommend 1 lb of ground venison, and 1/2 lb of deer sausage for fat content), otherwise your results will be poor. I don't know about some of the other game meat some are using. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, diced apple, soy sauce, and salt and pepper, to taste in a bowl,.
- Form meat mixture into a loaf and place on a baking pan.
- Insert the 8 apple wedges into the top of the meatloaf.
- Combine the honey and ketchup and drizzle it over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in preheated oven or 1 hour.
