Web #1 · Oct 20, 2012 (Edited) I took my Glock 22 (2nd generation) out to compare recoil with a Sig Sauer P226 in .40 S&W (which I recently bought). With the lower bore axis of the Glock, it had less felt recoil in .40 even though it is a lighter gun than the P226. My Glock 22 is my house-gun, and has been for the past 11 years.

WHAT IS BETTER, .357 SIG OR .40 S&W? | THE FIREARMS FORUM
Web Feb 25, 2003 Good Choice! I personally would go with the .40 Smith because it is bigger bore and a little less penetrating. You get the same number of rounds in the gun, I believe, and I live in a residential. Overpenetration is an issue in my surroundings. I'd sure hate to shoot into a house nearby. However, everyone's situation is unique.
